The project entitled “Emigrant Day” is aimed at restoring the memory of the places of origin to fellow citizens residing abroad and their descendants, who will thus be able to know their “roots” and therefore build their identity.
A historical-anthropological anthology will reproduce the soul of the homeland with a journey through time, with the story that will be told in a special conference.
Various forms of folkloric entertainment, such as folk songs and dances, will enhance the territory to offer it to tourists as well. The initiatives in the project constitute that eco-sustainable and responsible tourism aimed at discovering the long, slow path of economic and social development, finding among one’s grandparents the protagonists of this evolution and thus enhancing the territory that appears worthy of occupying a place in the mainstream tourism circuit.
