Digitization of the historical registry of the Municipalities, with transcription on an Excel spreadsheet (already prepared by the Network of Sicilian Museums of Emigration) of the events of birth, death and marriage that occurred in the territory of relevance from 1 January 1820 to 31 December 1940.
Among the workshop activities, ample space should be given to the research, cataloguing and study of documents, photos, films, gadgets in order to implement the Museum of Emigration of Santa Ninfa and constitute the first nucleus of a small museum of emigration in the aggregated municipalities.
Ample space must be dedicated to the implementation of the territorial map of the project (locating the Museums of Emigration and other places of historical, cultural and tourist interest).
The planned activities are part of the programming of festivals and events that the Municipality organizes annually in its territory (Festa dell’emigrante, festivals, etc.) involving tourists and seasonal vacationers.
The project proposes to include new events in these days, dedicated to Italian descendants from the United States, Venezuela and Australia.
On one of the days there will be a conference on the history of the communities that have emigrated abroad and at the end a table set with the offer by the community of traditional food and sweets.
The other day could host a band concert with the offer of commemorative plaques in memory of illustrious emigrants from the town.
