The project aims to make Castiglione di Sicilia known, which in the meantime has become one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and has also become one of the most important territories in Sicily for the production of wines exported all over the world, even in the countries of residence of our emigrants.
A cycle of events to discover the lands from which their great-grandparents, grandparents, in some cases their parents left in the most recent emigration.
A dip between past and present to discover the traditions, the houses, the products of that territory from which the emigrants departed.
The opportunity is to make them attend, for example, the village festival, in this case dedicated to the Madonna della Catena in August, where the celebrations are repeated over the years between faith, devotion and traditions.
An opportunity to bring back our emigrants to welcome them in a “village” that has now become a tourist destination, to celebrate together with the residents what Castiglione represents today in Sicily and in the world, thanks to the wines, Mount Etna, the Alcantara Gorges, its golf course, the historical, architectural and landscape heritage.
