Today, the Tour through the lands of wine is also the capital of mangoes, a fruit with a thousand beneficial properties that grows in the countryside, sometimes creating an exotic landscape. Balestrate presents itself today with a new story. The smells, scents and its characteristics will be the subject of a trip to local companies to discover the many curiosities of the mango and its combinations.

The visit to the farm includes a walk along the fields to closely observe the fragrant exotic plants in the company of the producers, who will illustrate all the cultivation techniques and secrets of these fruits. During the visit, entertainment and tastings will also be offered.

Visits are recommended between the end of August and September during the harvest period. In May, on the other hand, the fields are in bloom and in addition to the beauty of the landscape you can taste mango products including delicious honey from tropical fruit flowers. A must-see is the walk “Tra le vie del vino”.

The lands of Balestrate, for centuries produced the best wines in the world. The Inghams, the Florios and the Woodhouses, the family that invented Marsala in Balestrate, have left numerous traces among ancient bagli and monuments. We will retrace the wine routes together, to rediscover ancient flavors while tasting wines and local products with the expert guidance of a specialized sommelier.
