A festival dedicated to them will be organized in August, a period in which the presence of immigrants is strongest in San Pier Niceto.
The intention is to strengthen the sense of belonging with the community of origin, to revive places of affection and to create the conditions for residential tourism.
The program will include a morning in which to revive and sublimate the beauty of our mountains: of its still uncontaminated paths, of the pure waters full of benefits, of the nature trails, of the places where it was usual to organize picnics.
The afternoon will be dedicated to visiting the town with its suggestive alleys, squares, places of the first settlements and its splendid churches (the oldest date back to 1200) full of works of art, sculptures, frescoes, canvases, silver, sacred vestments.
Afterwards, a tasting of typical products will be offered by local companies which will be animated by traditional popular music accompanied by typical instruments: accordions, friscaretti, bagpipes, guitars; to underline the importance of the pastoral music of our mountains.
The day will end with a concert that will cheer all those present.
