The events will consist of the organization of the Festival of Roots in the Villages of Treasures in three weekends of the month of May and the proposal of the Days of Roots during the celebrations of the co-patronal feast of Sant’Onofrio in the first days of August.
It will be aimed in particular at travelers of the roots, that is, all travelers of Sicilian origin scattered around the world who want to return to discover their roots in their countries of origin.
The Festival lights up the Municipality with activities related to its treasures, its traditions and its identity heritage with a strong involvement of the community.
4 identity treasures of the Municipality will be open with a guided/theatrical tour by young storytellers and the elderly, in particular: The Ethno-anthropological Museum, The Church of Carmel, The Mother Church The village of Rabato, The naturalistic complex and the Sanctuary of Monte San Paolino.
There will be workshops on typical local products and walks on the gypsum road and in the Arab quarter of Rabato one of the “Most beautiful villages in Italy”.

How to get there
From Agrigento Take the SS 189 towards Palermo, at about 36 km you will cross the junction for Campofranco, after about 2 km the junction for Sutera, 5 km away. From Palermo Take the SS 189 towards Agrigento, at Km 98 you will cross the junction for Campofranco, after about 2 km the junction for Sutera, 5 km away. From Catania Take the Catania/Palermo motorway (A19), towards Palermo, exit at the junction for Caltanissetta and take the SS 640 Caltanissetta/Agrigento. Exit in the direction of Serradifalco (SP. 23) and take the Serradifalco - Mussomeli provincial road. After 20 km you will cross the junction for Sutera, about 6 km away.
