The Festival of Popular Traditions that will be held in Ucria on August 14, 2014, on the occasion of the recurring Feast of the Emigrants, will be inspired by the experience of the International Center of Ethnohistory, Aurelio Rigoli Foundation, of which the Municipality of Ucria is an integral part, in order to enhance the museum center consisting of 5 museums including the museum of polar traditions.
The Festival aims first and foremost to strengthen the bond between the community and those who have emigrated, creating a board of events through which to celebrate the cultural heritage that binds us to the past, while shaping our present and inspiring the future.
The festival highlights and celebrates the cultural ethnological richness rooted in the Ucrian community.

Below is the program:
August 14, 2024
10.00 a.m.: a day at the museum, opening of the festival (Museum of Popular Traditions);
11.30 a.m.: in the footsteps of Pitrè, session with local poets, writers and storytellers (Museum of Popular Traditions);
6.00 p.m.: cooking workshop with the active participation of the community (Piazza degli Emigranti);
8.00 p.m.: community dinner (Piazza degli Emigranti);
9.30 p.m.: performances by folk music groups (Piazza Padre Bernardino).
