This is the evolution of the “Borghi dei Tesori Fest” project, organized in 2021, 2021, 2023, through
a network of 33 small municipalities throughout Sicily in collaboration with the Le Vie dei Tesori Foundation and with
the Borghi dei Tesori association: a great moment of enhancement of territorial resources and
tradition of each municipality that starts from the mapping, the digitization of the treasures, the places of
tradition, of the attractors, of the specialties of the villages and consists in their opening to public use and
in their contextual animation in three weekends of the year with the involvement, after a first step
of more than 500 young people.
At the same time, the Festival ignites activities related to its treasures, its traditions and the
identity heritage with a strong involvement of the community and in particular 4
identity treasures of the Municipality with a guided/theatrical tour by young storytellers and
elderly people such as: the Sanctuary of Maria SS.ma Di Custonaci, the Museum of Marble and Caves and the Park
suburban area of Cerriolo, there will be 2 tastings of local food and wine products
such as the “woven cassatelle” and the “spincie”, 2 experiences of visit in the related artisan workshops
to the processing of marble and the production of typical cheeses in a dairy, 2 experiences
special discoveries of the traditions and resources of the territory related to research and
dissemination, through folkloristic performances, of ancient poetic tales in the context of agricultural and
singing in the context of work activities carried out in marble quarries.
The activities will see the participation of
of the Cala Bukuto Folkloristic Cultural Association which will join a digitization project
of the registry of the Municipality, in order to provide the visitor of the Roots with the opportunity to carry out
genealogical research to trace its origins.

How to get there
BY CAR From Palermo: Motorway A29 towards Trapani, exit at Castellammare del Golfo continue on the SS 187 towards Trapani, after about 20 km turn right onto the SP 16 - Via Asse dei Marmi and then right towards the historic centre. Total route about 90 km. From Trapani: From the Dante Alighieri seafront, continue northeast, take the SP 20 (Trapani - Bonagia) towards Custonaci, after the hamlet of Bonagia continue on the SP 18 (Bonagia - Custonaci) then follow the signs for the historic center. Total route about 18 km
