One of the oldest and most heartfelt festivals of the community, Our Lady of Sorrows is, together with Sant’Angelo Martire, co-patron saint of the Municipality.
Until the 2000s, an agri-food fair was held in parallel with religious rites.
The aim of the project is to bring back this fair remembered as one of the best community moments of the year.
The festival develops over two days (Saturday and Sunday) with religious rites and processions and with the realization of a typical food festival with an adjoining Laboratory of the Roots of Cuisine for the preparation of the “Cubbaita”, a sweet made with almonds typical of this festival.
On the Saturday of the festival, a “Roots Workshop” will be organized on the popular traditions of the Municipality of Sant’Angelo Muxaro.

Sant'Angelo Muxaro (Agrigento) - From Agrigento towards Raffadali first along the SS118 then towards Santa Elisabetta along the SP17 and finally towards Sant'Angelo Muxaro along the SP19. - From Palermo take the SS118 to Raffadali and then continue as above. - From Catania go to Agrigento and then SS118 towards Raffadali, SP17 towards Santa Elisabetta and SP19 to Sant'Angelo Muxaro.
